TGD Productions, Inc. is a New York-based, 501c3, non-profit theatre company that provides inclusive opportunities for a diverse group of artists to create, collaborate, engage, and practice their craft.
Our mission is to compel audiences to think afresh about the impact of the political and social environment – particularly through plays that call upon the voices and experiences rooted in historically marginalized communities – and where audiences not only see and hear themselves, but also see and hear others with an increased sense of respect, humanity, and gratitude.
Anthony is an architect, short story writer and playwright. He is founder and president of TGD Productions, Inc. and has had several plays produced in New York. He is a member of the Playwright's Center.
Valerie is an actor, director, creative director, and company stage manager for several productions in New York. Valerie is also the director emeritus of the Tragedy of Tupac or Who Shot Me.
Leslie is an attorney who recently retired from a distinguished career in higher education and is a former member of the board of The Repertory Theatre of St Louis. She is passionate about the arts and good dogs.
Jaylan is a playwright active in New York City who often uses science fiction and fantastical elements in her plays. Jaylan has had several of her plays produced, and she has performed in several musicals.
Staxx is an actor, writer, director, producer of award-winning productions and collaborations, including the recent film "I Am Relentless.” a memoir which details her life, Staxx looks to continue growing as a writer and filmmaker.
An architect and playwright originally from Los Angeles, to Chicago, and now making his home in New York City. Anthony's recent One Act plays include: Finalist for Two Good Dogs, Strawberry One Act Festival; Bridges and Overpasses and With All Good Intentions, both performed at Chelsea Rep/Theater 54; and Brand Truth performed at Play and Pizza. Anthony is also a fiction writer and has published stories in Tampa Review, Euphemism, and Inkwell and has been a Top-25 finalist in Glimmer Train’s Fiction Open and Very Short Story Competitions.
A director, creative director, playwright, and an actor, Valerie's work includes: (1209 Productions, Black Spectrum Theatre, Chelsea Rep,); director (Lehman College, Chelsea Rep, Black Spectrum Theatre, The Triad); and company stage manager for Shades of Truth Theater. Valerie was last seen as Old Woman in Two Good Dogs, and Det. Berg in the You are Not Alone Theatre festival at the Tank, NYC. Valerie is also the director emeritus of the Tragedy of Tupac or Who Shot Me? She was "Best Actress Finalist for Two Good Dogs, Strawberry One Act Festival."
